Mode of Application
Selection Process
- The selection of eligible applicants for training under the Apprentices Act, 1961 will be based on a merit list.
The merit list for each unit will be prepared solely on the basis of the percentage of marks obtained in
Matriculation, subject to a minimum of 50% aggregate marks. The final panel will be drawn based on the
Matriculation marks of the eligible applicants.
- For the purpose of calculating the percentage of Matriculation marks, the marks obtained in all subjects will
be reckoned, and not the marks of any single subject or group of subjects.
- In the event of two or more applicants securing the same marks, preference will be given to the older
candidate. If the dates of birth are also identical, the candidate who passed the Matriculation examination
earlier will be given priority. There will be no written test or viva.
- Applicants are not required to send any hard copies of applications, certificates, or documents to RRC/BBS by
post. All relevant documents must be uploaded online only.
