Selection Process
- A Competitive Written Examination shall be conducted for all provisionally eligible candidates.
- The final Merit List will be prepared only on the basis of the performance of the candidates in the competitive
written examination.
- Resolution of Tie Cases – Resolution of cases wherein two or more candidates have scored equal aggregated
marks, the tie shall be resolved as under in accordance with the CSIR Letter No. 5-1(211)/2014-PD dated
30.05.2023:
i. Candidate with lesser negative marks, if applicable, in the papers (which have been considered for
evaluation of merit) of Written Test placed higher;
ii. Date of Birth, with older candidate placed higher;
iii. Candidate acquiring essential degree earlier placed higher;
iv. Alphabetical order in which first names of the candidates appear;
