OPTCL intends to recruit young, dynamic and committed professionals to be inducted as
Management Trainees in the Electrical discipline and engage them in the journey of transforming
lives through efficient and reliable transmission of electricity across different offices of OPTCL,
GRIDCO & SLDC.:-

Educational Qualification
| Candidate should have appeared and qualified GATE 2026 conducted by IIT, Guwahati and
GATE 2026 Score (Normalized Marks out of 100) should be mentioned while applying. The
qualifying marks as declared by GATE 2026 Organizing Body shall be considered, which will
be verified with original GATE results by OPTCL. Any discrepancy found, the application will be
summarily rejected. |
Salary & Allowances
| The Corporation offers a competitive pay package. During the training period they shall be paid
a stipend of Rs. 50,000/- per month. Selected candidates will be placed in the pay scale of Pay
Matrix :- Rs. 56,100 - Rs. 1,77,500 (Level EE-2) with Initial Basic Pay of Rs. 56,100/- after
completion of the one-year training period.
On successful completion of training, the candidates will be absorbed as Assistant Manager
(Electrical ) in level EE-2 in the pay scale - Pay Matrix:-Rs. 56,100 - Rs. 1,77,500/.The pay and
allowances are subject to revision as approved by the Board from time to time. |

Selection Process
The Selection Process consists of marks obtained (out of 100) in the Electrical Engineering
discipline paper of GATE 2026 & Personal Interview.
Candidates shall be short-listed category-wise for Personal Interview based on their GATE
2026 Score (Normalized Marks out of 100) in GATE 2026.
